What Biketoberfest is
Biketoberfest is Daytona Beach’s fall motorcycle rally, promoted by the Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB). The 2026 edition is the 34th, and it runs Thursday, October 15 through Sunday, October 18. There is no single fairground. The rally is a collection of events at venues and businesses spread across Volusia County, from Main Street in Daytona Beach to the roadhouses on US 1 in Ormond Beach and the infield at Daytona International Speedway.
How it differs from Bike Week
Daytona hosts two big rallies a year. Bike Week fills ten days in early March, while Biketoberfest packs its program into four days in mid-October. The shorter format fits neatly into a long weekend, and the weather is usually milder than summer, with average October highs in the low 80s and lows in the upper 60s. It is still hurricane season, though, so keep an eye on the tropics before you leave home.

When is Biketoberfest 2026?
The 34th Biketoberfest runs Thursday, October 15 through Sunday, October 18, 2026, according to the Daytona Beach Area CVB. If you can, arrive a day early to settle in and get a ride in before the weekend crowds build. The 2027 dates had not been announced when this guide was last updated, so check Biketoberfest.org before you book anything for next year.
Do I need a ticket for Biketoberfest?
No single ticket covers the rally. Biketoberfest is a spread of events hosted by venues and businesses across the Daytona Beach area, and much of the street scene is open to the public. Some activities do cost money, such as infield admission for the racing at Daytona International Speedway or entering a bike show, so check each event’s details before you go.
How is Biketoberfest different from Daytona Bike Week?
Bike Week runs ten days in early March, while Biketoberfest is a four-day rally in mid-October. Both center on Daytona Beach and share many of the same hubs, including Main Street, the US 1 corridor and the Speedway. Biketoberfest is easier to fit into a long weekend, and October weather is usually warm without the peak heat of summer.
Do I have to wear a helmet in Florida?
Riders under 21 must wear a helmet that meets federal safety standards. If you are 21 or older, Florida law lets you ride without one only if you are covered by an insurance policy with at least $10,000 in medical benefits for motorcycle crash injuries. Operators must wear approved eye protection either way, so pack glasses or a face shield.
Where is the Biketoberfest Welcome Center?
The CVB sets up its Biketoberfest Welcome Center trackside in the display area at Daytona International Speedway, 1801 West International Speedway Boulevard. Stop by for free posters, pins, poker chips and visitor guides. If you registered for a pin pass ahead of time, this is also where you pick up your collectible 2026 pin.
Should I worry about hurricanes in October?
October is still part of the Atlantic hurricane season, which runs June 1 to November 30, and the National Hurricane Center notes that most activity falls between mid-August and mid-October. Watch the forecast in the week before you travel, choose lodging with a flexible cancellation policy, and consider travel insurance if you are flying in.
