01

Planning timeline

01
Three or more months out: book lodging or a campsite, especially if you want to stay near the beach, Main Street or US 1.
02
Six to eight weeks out: if you are trailering, line up a trailer parking spot. If you are flying, reserve your rental vehicle.
03
A few weeks out: register for the free pin pass on Biketoberfest.org, download the Biketoberfest app and look over the Speedway race schedule.
04
The week before: watch the tropical forecast, service your bike and confirm your reservations and cancellation terms.
05
Rally days: make the Welcome Center at the Speedway your first stop for maps and your pin, then plan rides for the morning and street time for later in the day.

Planning on short notice for 2026? Use the CVB’s lodging search on Biketoberfest.org to see what is still open, and consider bases a little farther out, such as DeLand, New Smyrna Beach or Flagler Beach.

Budget categories

Costs vary widely with how you travel, so build your budget around these line items instead of a single number:

  • Lodging or campsite
  • Fuel for day rides, including longer runs like St. Augustine
  • Food and drinks
  • Speedway infield admission for the racing
  • Bike show entry fees if you plan to show your bike
  • Park entrance fees, such as Canaveral National Seashore, which charges motorcycles
  • Trailer and vehicle parking
  • Rally merchandise and vendor shopping
  • Travel insurance, since October falls in hurricane season

Getting there

Daytona Beach sits where I-95 and I-4 meet. I-95 brings riders in from the north and south along the coast, and I-4 connects from Orlando and Tampa to the west. US 1, US 92, State Road 40 (which links to I-75) and A1A also lead into the area.

Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) is closest to the action, right next to the Speedway. Orlando International (MCO) and Orlando Sanford (SFB) offer more flights, and Groome Transportation runs a shuttle between Daytona Beach and both Orlando airports. Jacksonville International (JAX) is an option for riders coming from the north.

04

Parking and trailers

The CVB lists several places to leave a trailer during the rally:

  • Daytona International Speedway, Gate 40, entered from Williamson Boulevard
  • Daytona Beach International Airport long-term parking on Catalina Drive
  • Arrow Service on Walker Street in Holly Hill
  • Omni Parking lots on South Atlantic Avenue and North Grandview Avenue in Daytona Beach
  • The Shores Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach Shores, where you must register with the valet on arrival

Each operator sets its own rates, and some take cards only, so call ahead. In town, remember that Main Street and Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard close for rally events and Slingshots are kept off both streets. Some businesses, such as Ocean Deck on the beachside, advertise free motorcycle parking. Arrive early at busy venues, because bike parking can fill up at peak times.
