Biketoberfest: where to stay in brief
Biketoberfest: where to stay depends on how close you want to be to the action and how you like to sleep. Below are the main areas, hotels versus campgrounds and rentals, and how to keep your bike safe overnight. Rooms go early for rally week, so confirm the dates on the official Biketoberfest page and book as soon as you can.
Choosing a base
Biketoberfest does not have one center. Main Street is on the beachside in Daytona Beach, the Speedway and its Welcome Center sit inland on International Speedway Boulevard, and Destination Daytona and several rally saloons line US 1 in Ormond Beach. Think about where you will spend your evenings, because that is when you want the shortest trip back to your room.
Oceanfront Daytona Beach
Hotels along A1A, also called Atlantic Avenue, put you close to Main Street, the Boardwalk and beachfront spots like Ocean Deck. It is the most walkable option for nights out. Traffic on A1A can be heavy during rally days.
Ormond Beach
Ormond Beach suits riders who plan to spend time on US 1 or ride the Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail in the mornings. The beachside part of town also has oceanfront hotels with easy access to A1A north toward Flagler Beach.
Speedway and I-95 corridor
Hotels near International Speedway Boulevard, I-95 and the airport work well if you want quick interstate access, plan to spend time at the races, or are flying into DAB. You trade ocean views for convenience.
Quieter bases
Daytona Beach Shores, Ponce Inlet, Port Orange and New Smyrna Beach to the south are calmer places to sleep while staying within reach of the rally. To the north, Flagler Beach, Palm Coast and St. Augustine suit riders who want a slower pace, and Visit St. Augustine notes that hundreds of riders stay there each Biketoberfest weekend. Inland, DeLand makes a handy base for West Volusia rides.
Camping and RV parks
The CVB lists campgrounds and RV parks along the oceanfront, on the rivers and close to town, and the area’s state parks offer more natural settings. Camping can stretch a tight budget. Book early, check whether a site allows tents, RVs or both, and ask where you can park your bike.
Booking tips
- Ask about secure, well-lit motorcycle parking and whether trailers are allowed on site.
- Read the cancellation policy closely, since October is still hurricane season.
- Confirm any minimum-night rules for rally weekend before you pay.
- Use the CVB’s lodging search at Biketoberfest.org to check availability.
