Thunder Beach runs twice a year in Panama City Beach. The autumn 2026 rally is set for October 21 to 25, and the spring 2027 rally for April 28 to May 2. Here is what happens at each venue, how the two rallies differ, and what to check before you go.

Not announced yet. Recent autumn rallies have run in late October, such as October 22 to 26 in 2025.

The most recent rally was the spring 2026 edition, held April 29 to May 3, 2026. Harley-Davidson of Panama City Beach stretches its rally festivities to about ten days, starting on the Friday before the rally opens.

Spring rally vs autumn rally

Both rallies follow the same five-day, Wednesday to Sunday pattern and use the same main venues. The spring rally is the older of the two and draws the bigger crowd. Ahead of the 2023 spring rally, Thunder Beach officials told WJHG they expected more than 100,000 people. Rider Magazine’s 2025 preview described the fall rally as more laid back and less crowded, with easier lodging.

Weather is the other big difference. Spring brings warm days and mild nights. October is a little cooler on average, but it falls inside the Atlantic hurricane season, so keep an eye on the tropics in the weeks before you ride.

Where the rally happens

The organizer names three main venues plus several partner locations:

Frank Brown Park

16200 Panama City Beach Pkwy (US-98): a 100-acre city park and the largest hub, with the main vendor village, factory demo rides, the Thunder Beach Saloon tent with daily live music, and the Iron & Chrome Collective, a rolling motorcycle museum that debuted in 2026.

Harley-Davidson of Panama City Beach

14700 Panama City Beach Pkwy: about a mile east of Frank Brown Park, with a vendor village, bars, detailing and pinstriping, and bikes for sale under a big tent.

Crossroads

15238 Front Beach Rd: a vendor village with food, a full bar, custom bike shows and sound-off competitions.

Partner venues

The Bike Rack (12000 Front Beach Rd), Sharky’s Beachfront (15201 Front Beach Rd), McGuire’s Irish Pub (17290 Front Beach Rd) and Hammerhead Fred’s (8752 Thomas Dr).

Bike shows and competitions

Custom bike shows are a big part of Thunder Beach. The autumn 2026 schedule lists the Streetbagger Magazine ride-in show, the Urban Rides All-Cycle Showdown and the Best of Thunder Beach Custom Bike Show at Crossroads, plus a Ladies’ Ride-In Bike Show and a No Pro bike show at Frank Brown Park. Audio sound-off contests run through the afternoons and evenings at Crossroads. Each show registers entries at set times listed on the schedule.

Admission and tickets

The organizer’s FAQ says you can attend at no charge at multiple locations, and motorcycle parking at the venues is free. Car parking is paid. The rally website also links to a ticketing page, so check what, if anything, needs a ticket. What days does the autumn 2026 Thunder Beach rally run?

The autumn 2026 rally runs Wednesday, October 21 through Sunday, October 25, 2026. Vendor villages open each morning, and Sunday is a shorter day at several venues. Harley-Davidson of Panama City Beach starts its own rally sales and events on the Friday before, so riders who arrive early will still find things going on.

Is the spring rally bigger than the autumn rally?

Generally, yes. The spring rally started first, in 1999, and draws the larger crowd. Rider Magazine has described the fall edition as more relaxed and less crowded, with better lodging availability. Both use the same main venues and a similar Wednesday to Sunday format, so the choice often comes down to weather, crowds and your own calendar.

Can I enter my bike in a Thunder Beach bike show?

Yes. The organizer says riders can enter custom bike shows and sound-off competitions. Each show has its own registration window listed on the rally schedule, and most are held at Crossroads or Frank Brown Park. Entry details are not always posted far in advance, so check the schedule closer to the rally and arrive early on show day.

What is the Iron & Chrome Collective?

It is a rolling motorcycle museum that first appeared at Frank Brown Park during the spring 2026 rally. Local news described more than a dozen custom, vintage and rare foreign bikes, shown by invitation. The autumn 2026 schedule lists it as free to visit each day, along with a Meet the Builder series in the evenings at McGuire’s Irish Pub.
