Daytona event info in one place: Daytona Bike Week runs March 5 to 14, 2027. Below are where it happens, what a typical day looks like, the riding laws to know and who runs it. Always confirm the schedule on the official Daytona Bike Week website before you travel.

01

2027 dates

The Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce has announced Bike Week 2027 for March 5 to 14, 2027, the rally’s 86th year. The 2026 rally ran February 27 to March 8, so expect the same ten-day format, starting on a Friday and wrapping up on the second Sunday.

Bike Week is not held at one gated site. It spreads across Daytona Beach and the rest of Volusia County, and races, concerts and shows at individual venues sell their own tickets.

Where it happens

Main Street, Daytona Beach

The traditional heart of the rally, with bars such as Boot Hill Saloon, vendors and long rows of parked bikes. In 2024 the city limited Main Street to motorcycle traffic for all ten days.

Midtown

Recent rallies brought live music, food vendors and Harley-Davidson’s ride-in bike show to this area.

Beach Street and the Riverfront

Downtown’s riverside strip, next to the Riverfront Esplanade gardens along the Intracoastal Waterway.

US 1 in Ormond Beach

Home to Destination Daytona and Teddy Morse’s Daytona Harley-Davidson, plus roadhouses such as the Iron Horse Saloon.

The Boardwalk, Pier and Bandshell

The oceanfront area near the east end of Main Street, popular for bike shows and sightseeing. The Bandshell is an open-air venue from the 1930s that still hosts concerts.

Daytona International Speedway

The racing hub on International Speedway Boulevard.

Racing at the Speedway

Racing has been part of Bike Week from the start. The Daytona 200 began on the beach in 1937 and moved to the Speedway in 1961, where it now runs on the high-banked road course. MotoAmerica promotes the race under an agreement that runs through the 2028 edition. In 2026 the Speedway’s Bike Week lineup also included DAYTONA Supercross, the Daytona Short Track, American Flat Track and King of the Baggers.

For 2027, the Supercross schedule lists Daytona for Saturday, March 6. Check the Speedway’s website for the Daytona 200 date and tickets once they are posted.

04

A typical rally day

A simple rhythm works for most riders: take your longer ride in the morning while roads are calmer, spend the afternoon on Main Street or the US 1 corridor, then finish with live music or a night at the races. Traffic builds as the day goes on, so leave extra time for any ride that has to end at a set hour.

05

Laws and safety

Helmets

Riders under 21 must wear one. Riders 21 and older may ride without a helmet only if covered by an insurance policy with at least $10,000 in medical benefits for motorcycle crash injuries.

Eye protection

Florida requires every motorcycle operator to wear an approved eye-protective device.

No lane splitting

Riding between lanes or rows of traffic is illegal, and no more than two motorcycles may ride side by side in one lane.

Impaired riding

Police have stepped up DUI enforcement during past rallies. Plan a sober ride or a cab before the first drink.

Expect the heaviest traffic on Main Street, Atlantic Avenue, Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard and around the Speedway, and keep an eye out for drivers who are not used to sharing the road with this many bikes.

06

Who runs it

The Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce presents the official Bike Week and runs OfficialBikeWeek.com, including a Welcome Center at 126 E. Orange Ave. during the rally. The City of Daytona Beach handles permits for businesses in its Bike Week Master Plan, and the Speedway runs its own races. This guide is independent and is not affiliated with any of them.
