Daytona: where to stay in brief
Daytona: where to stay depends on how close you want to be to the action and how you like to sleep. Below are the main areas, hotels versus campgrounds and rentals, and how to keep your bike safe overnight. Rooms go early for rally week, so confirm the dates on the official Daytona Bike Week website and book as soon as you can.
Pick your base
Bike Week has no single campus, so your lodging choice decides how much time you spend riding through traffic. The official travel guide lists more than 200 lodging properties in the area, from oceanfront resorts and motels to bed and breakfasts, condo hotels, vacation rentals and campgrounds.
If you want to walk to bars and vendors at night, look near Main Street and the beachside along A1A. If you plan to spend most evenings on the US 1 corridor, Ormond Beach puts you closer to Destination Daytona and the Iron Horse Saloon. If you would rather trade a longer ride for calmer nights, look south to Daytona Beach Shores or inland toward DeLand.
Hotels, campgrounds and rentals
Hotels and motels give you a front desk and housekeeping, and many have lots where you can keep the bike close. Ask exactly where motorcycles can park before you book. Oceanfront properties along A1A put you near the Boardwalk and Bandshell area.
Campgrounds and RV parks suit riders who trailer in or want a social, rally-style stay. The Fastlane Campground at the Volusia County Fairgrounds in DeLand has appeared on the chamber’s trailer parking list.
Vacation rentals work well for groups who want a kitchen and a garage or driveway. Read the listing for parking rules, noise rules and whether trailers are allowed.
Booking tips
- Book as early as you can, since well-placed rooms go first.
- Read the cancellation policy and any minimum-stay rules before you pay.
- Match your nights to the rally dates, March 5 to 14, 2027, and to any race you plan to see, such as Supercross on March 6.
- Book directly with the property or through the chamber’s lodging links, and be wary of offers that seem too good to be true.
- If you are trailering, line up trailer storage before you arrive.
Bike parking and security
Ask the property where motorcycles can park and whether the lot is lit, gated or watched. Use a disc lock with a reminder cable, cover the bike at night and take helmets and bags into your room. Park where you can see the bike if possible, and keep a photo of your VIN and plate on your phone in case you need to file a report.
