Riding the Ocean Drive North to Ocean City
Ocean Drive North to Ocean City: a 28-mile coastal ride from Wildwoods Convention Center, Wildwood, NJ to Ocean City, NJ. Plan on about About 1 hour of riding, plus stops.
Ride into North Wildwood, swing past the 1874 Hereford Inlet Lighthouse, then follow Ocean Drive off the island across the Grassy Sound Bridge. From there the route strings together Stone Harbor, Avalon, Sea Isle City and Strathmere, with marsh views between towns and drawbridges over Townsends and Corsons Inlets. Several bridges charge a toll in one direction, payable by E-ZPass or by plate. You finish in Ocean City, which is a dry town, so plan any lunch beer elsewhere. With more time, stay on Ocean Drive through Longport and Margate to Atlantic City, where the full route ends about 50 miles from its start at Cape May Point.
