Kancamagus Highway (NH 112): a 34-mile mountain ride from Lincoln, NH to Conway, NH. Plan on about 1 hr of riding, plus stops.
Locals call it the Kanc. NH 112 climbs east from Lincoln through the White Mountain National Forest, crosses Kancamagus Pass at 2,855 feet and drops into the valley to finish at NH 16 in Conway. VisitNH puts the scenic stretch at about 34.5 miles, and 26.5 miles of it carry a federal National Scenic Byway designation. It is a two-lane road with long curves, grades and scenic overlooks. There are no gas stations along the way, so fill up in Lincoln or Conway and carry water. Ride it early in the day during rally week to beat sightseeing traffic, and watch for cars braking suddenly near viewpoints.
