About Hammerhead Fred's
Hammerhead Fred’s is a seafood restaurant and bar on Thomas Drive with a Cajun slant to the menu, including oysters, tacos and seafood entrees. The restaurant says it has served locals since 1995, and it has an outdoor pavilion called Fred’s Hangout used for live music. The rally organizer lists it among Thunder Beach venues; its own rally page for 2025 listed the Miss Thunder Beach contest and the Buck Wild band on rally nights, and a 2026 spring rally guide listed a Wednesday Kick-Start Party there. The restaurant’s rally page also mentions an outdoor bar area and motorcycle parking.

Rally week
Riders visit during the Thunder Beach Motorcycle Rally (October 21 to 25, 2026). Rally weeks are the busiest time of year for bars near the rally. Expect crowds, live music on some nights and tight parking, and sort out a sober ride home before your first drink.
Rider notes
It is on Thomas Drive at the east end of the beach, well away from Frank Brown Park, so plan the ride back after dark and line up a sober ride if you are drinking.
